Natalie totally screwed up the second part of the HOH yesterday with Michele's balls. I was so happy when Jordan beat her. Let me tell you, I was screaming with joy at Snap fitness, throwing my fist up in the air - the whole shabang!

The thing about Natalie is that although she has played a good game this season, she is just despicable and totally unlikable. The gaming/rational side of me wants to root for her because she completely went against all odds and took out players like Russell, Jeff and Michele, all while getting Kevin to do her dirty work. Brilliant right? But God, do I hate her. She is one of the most annoying bitches I've ever had the pleasure to despise on Big Brother.

And Kevin? DR Kevin is likable, but Kevin on the feeds is every bit as hateworthy as Natalie. Like seriously dude, grow some balls, and stop doing everything Natalie wants you to do. You have to play this game for yourself. Why didn't you bring Michele when you knew that she would take you, and not Natalie to the final 2? Kevin is a pussy. That is all I have to say.

So, I'm pretty much left rooting for Jordan, who is not exactly worthy of the BB crown, but whatever. I like her a hell of a lot more than I like Kevin or Natalie. It's pretty much picking the lesser of two evils at this point.

Thanks Jeff for ruining the end game of this season :).

Big Brother 9 Rant #6: Woot Woot Baller!

My prediction was correct...Adam wins!! I think this is the first winner I've actually liked. Dick was disgusting, Boogie was an elf and Maggie was just plain boring.

Baller played a very good social game which is why he ended up winning over Ryan. Ryan honestly let Adam control most of his moves at the end game which is what cost him the money. Evicting Natalie and Sheila, two people he would have had a better chance against in the final two, were incredibly dumb moves for Ryan. Now that I look back on it, evicting Sharon was also a bad move for Ryan because it cost him her jury vote.

Obviously James won the America's choice, but I really found it funny how Julie announced Sheila as second. Sheila goes home with no money except for her stipend. I tried voting for Josh, but my browser was fucked up. Josh is still my favorite contestant from this season and definitely the most entertaining houseguest. I loved his comment about Natalie and how only two people could go to F2. If there is an Allstars 2, I would definitely want Josh to be in it, as well as Allison. My two favorites this year were bitter enemies till the end lol.

Overall the finale was decent. It felt a little rushed and I hope the producers make the finale two hours long for BB10 like they do on Survivor.

Big Brother 9 Rant #5: Might as Well Hand Baller the Check

Well, I haven't been blogging much as of recently since my favorites to win this year keep getting eliminated one by one, week after week. Although, I do have to say that Natalie's eviction was very satisfying to watch; I was actually cheering out loud when I saw the look of despair on her face when Julie announced that it was a 1-1 tie. I've gotta give mad props to Sheila for having the balls to actually evict her as it made for very good TV. I still think that Chelsea's eviction was by far the most entertaining this season, but Natalie's was up there as well.

It was sad to see Sharon go yesterday, I really wanted to see an Adam and Sharon final two. Although Sharon wasn't the most entertaining person to watch on the feeds, she definitely played a very good game given the cards she was dealt. I also believe she was robbed of HOH this week with that stupid guinea pig question. I call bullshit, as Evel Dick would say. Oh well, what can you do?

I'm rooting for Baller to win right now, but if Sheila won, I'd be ok with that also. The only person I don't want to see win is Ryan. Ryan has played a terrible game and is just a disgusting pig quite honestly. The only reason he has gotten this far is because he has won some lucky competitions. Ryan's worst move this season was evicting Natalie, the only person I think he could beat at final two. He's playing for second place regardless of who he goes up against. Ryan has a slightly better chance against Sheila, but I still think she would win against him.

If Adam makes it to the final two tonight, I can pretty much guarantee he is this season's winner.

Big Brother 9 Rant #4: Natalie...Natalie...Natalie...

Day 52-53

Natalie drives me absolutely crazy.

As of right now Natalie is planning to keep Sharon over Josh with the original final four plan of Her, Ryan, Adam and Sheila. She spilled the beans about her agreement with Josh to Sharon and Sheila just four hours after the plan was solidified and, I hate to say it, but Joshua's chances of staying are really slim at this point. I'm hoping Josh can sway Ryan and Adam to keep him over Sharon, but after Ryan and Adam talked over the pros and cons of each nominee they have decided that keeping Sharon is best for them.

Natalie is seriously a fucking idiot. She is currently playing both sides and there is no reason for her to do so. She promised Josh yesterday that she will keep him and then goes back on her word later on in the night. Why even cut a fake deal if you don't need to? All that does is make people not want to trust you.

Baller and Ryan need to wake up and realize that keeping Josh over Sharon is better for them in the end. Not only will Sharon nominate Baller and Ryan if she wins HoH, but she stands a much greater chance at winning than Josh if she makes it to final 2. It's SO FRUSTRATING!

Josh, you are going to get evicted because all of the houseguests you live with are dumbtards. ugh.

Big Brother 9 Rant #3: OMG JOSH, DON'T GO HOME!!!!

Day 52

Sorry, but I've been kind of busy (lol), so I haven't posted anything, but I've got a WHOLE LOT OF SHIT to say about Big Brother. On a side note, waaaah I can't apply for season 10 this year because I don't turn 21 till after the DEADLINE. My dreams have been shattered!

Alright, well Natalie surprisingly won HOH and put up Josh and James, with the target being James. James won POV and Natalie is going to put up Sharon as a replacement nominee.

Things were looking grim for Josh after the POV ceremony, but I knew deep down in my heart that Josh would pull through and think of something to save his ass. He is just that great of a player. His secret alliance with Ryan has become very very handy! Ryan worked Natalie into thinking that Sharon is a bigger threat than Josh. He told Natalie that Sharon is not only better physically at challenges, but is also an untrustworthy mole. I gotta give credit when credit is due, Ryan did make a very good argument. Sharon is a much bigger threat than Josh, both in terms of challenges and as final two competition. No one hates this woobie lover. Who wouldn't give her the money if she made it to final two? Anyway, long story short, Josh, Natalie, Ryan and James have made an agreement to keep Josh this week over Sharon. The vote will go 2-2 and Natalie will break the tie keeping Josh and sending Sharon and her blanket out the door. Josh also promised both Natalie and Ryan that they get two weeks safety from him if he wins HOH. The funniest part about this agreement/alliance is that they have already begun discussing putting up Sheila and Adam next week. Nat and Ryan sure are quick to throw their allies under the bus. LOL!!!!

The only thing I'm worried about is that Josh told Natalie that Ryan and him have been cool and had a deal for a few weeks. That might have not been a good idea, but we will see how that pans out.

During this entire discussion between the four of them up in the HOH room, Sharon is downstairs crying, literally bawling her eyes out, over the fact that Josh would be going home this week. I feel so bad for her...Little does she know that she will be the one going home! Sharon really has little game left in her, it's sad. I thought she would pull through and start showing her cards, but all she is doing is pouting like the emo girl who sits in the back row of your English class---sad sad Sharon.

As much as I like Sharon, I like Joshua more! So between the two going home I'm ecstatic that Josh is most likely going to stay unless Natalie opens her stupid trap and spills the beans about the plan to Sheila. Joshua is a mastermind in this game and knows what to say. Seriously, he is dodging bullets and playing a wonderful game. GO JOSH! I'd rather Sharon stay over James but, oh well, what are you gonna do? Sharon played a great game until last week when she offered herself up as a pawn---she just cares too much about Josh and that has ruined her game.

It's Joshtastic!!! JOSH IS GONNA WIN THIS BIATCH!!! But, I like Baller too and I don't want him to go home either. What are the chances of a Baller and Josh final two?

I have to backtrack and talk about last night. James blowing up at Sheila was AMAZING. Basically James was awake in his bed and overheard Sheila talking about voting James out in the kitchen after she talked to James earlier in the sauna about maybe keeping him. I was expecting Sheila to cry and DOR after James called her out on all her shenanigans, but she surprisingly retained her composure. James then started crying like Matt did. Blahblahblah I'm on my little island blahblabla. As much as I despise this pink haired punk, he is at least entertaining.

Last thing I want to touch on tonight is Chelsea's exit from the Big Brother house. Talk about the best eviction speech ever! Seriously, a lot of the houseguests talk about telling people off when they leave, but they always end up not having the guts to do it. Chelsea went out with a bang and I loved every minute of it. The best part was when she said that Sheila has been rode hard. LOL! I love Chelsea and will miss her dearly.

Let's just hope that Sheila goes home next week. That would be sweet!

Big Brother 9 Rant #2: Oh Allison!

What a roller coaster week it has been in the Big Brother house! We didn't just have one eviction Wednesday night, but two---both involving the same person. It was definitely an entertaining episode and huge props to the producers for making it go down the way it did.

Before the live eviction on Wednesday the houseguests got a mysterious note from Big Brother telling them that a siren would go off in the coming weeks and change the game dramatically. Allison and Ryan were really excited that this new twist in the game could somehow save them from the chopping block. Josh, on the other hand, became really paranoid and worried that his plan to get rid of "the bitch" would backfire due to the siren.

Well Wednesday rolled around and Julie Chen revealed one of the "twists" this season. Basically what was going to happen was that Julie Chen would announce to the houseguests which couple was evicted and then as they tried to leave the house the siren would sound and the house guests would all be asked to come back to their seats. Julie Chen would then announce to the house guests that only one person from the evicted couple would actually be leaving and that they would all be playing the game as individuals from now on.

As expected, Ryan and Allison were evicted (2-0). As they tried to leave, they were surprised that the door was locked from the outside. All of a sudden the siren went off and Allison had a rush of excitement and hope. She actually thought she would be staying in the house and was jumping up and down, clapping her hands and hugging Ryan. When Julie told the house guests that only one person would be evicted, either Allison or Ryan, Allison's facial expressions changed in a matter of seconds; talk about a mood swing. The poor girl knew she was going home and started crying when she was giving her plea as to why she should stay. Allison was voted out 6-0 and hardly got any hugs or goodbyes from any of the remaining houseguests.

Julie then revealed another twist shortly after the HOH competition. An evicted houseguest would be returning to the house and America would get to choose who in an online poll at cbs.com.

So yea, CBS is really pulling out all the stops to keep viewers interested and increase the show's terrible ratings this season. I like that the houseguests can now play on their own. It will be interesting to see what new alliances will form now that players don't have to rely on their partners anymore.

I'll admit I'm a huge Allison fan and I'm hoping she comes back into the house next week to stir up the pot once again. I think the producers made a big mistake with the twist because it made Allison's eviction inevitable and honestly she is much more entertaining to watch than Ryan. I also think it's a mistake to let America decide who gets to come back into the house. Seriously, all the soccer moms who watch the show are going to vote for Alex to come back because they have the hots for him. "Alex is cute this. Alex is sexy that. Alex turns me on." Blah blah blah blah. I've heard enough of it. Sorry ladies, but he brings nothing to the game and GOD is he boring to watch. Allison Grodner, work your magic and bring Allison back. I beg of you!

Anyway, so much stuff is happening in the house right now and I can't fit it all in one rant. I'll be back with another entry in the next few days about this week's nominations and more. Oh and I'll try to stop myself from recapping too much in the future.

Big Brother 9 Rant #1: I'm a Playa!

Why hello! I am back and ready to blog after my failed attempts at podcasting (lol). This season of Big Brother has been extremely fun and sexy, so there is a lot I would like to talk about.

This is the first season of Big Brother where I’ve seen so much drama happen in such a short amount of time; something interesting happens every day, so the feeds have been pretty much golden. If you are a dedicated Big Brother fan I highly recommend getting the feeds because there is just so much footage that the aired episodes don’t show.

Julie Chen said there would be a twist next week on the show. I am pretty certain that previous houseguests will be coming back and that they will be splitting the couples up so that the show stays on the air for three months. Who knows though? The writer’s strike has ended so they might decide to cut this season short due to its low ratings. Let’s be honest here, Big Brother just can’t compete with American Idol.

Alright, well Sharon and Josh are HOH this week and nominated two couples for eviction: Allison/Ryan and Matt/Natalie. Matt and Natalie won the POV, so it is looking like Allison and Ryan are going to be evicted this week unless something drastic happens in the house. I know there is little to no chance that Sharon and Josh will put Chelsea and James up, but you can always hope, right? James and Chelsea are currently my least favorite couple in the house. Chelsea reminds me of that annoying girl Jessica from last season and James is just too creepy and weird (did I mention that he did porno? -_-). Let’s just hope some sort of miracle happens and Allison and Ryan stay in the house.

Some weird kissing action happened yesterday in the Big Brother house. They really should just rename the show Big Brother: the Porno Edition because I have a feeling that is where this season is going. Anyway, I didn’t think Matt was that smart before, but I’ve got to give him some credit for at least making moves on Sharon to try and persuade her to put James and Chelsea up as replacement nominees. What happened was Matt and Sharon were talking strategy on the HOH bed. Matt kept insisting that Sharon should put up James and Chelsia (which would honestly be the best couple to put up from a strategic standpoint), and then he slowly moved closer to Sharon. Matt began caressing Sharon’s hand and talked about how Natalie was not his type of girl. He even went as far as saying that the rumor that he got a BJ from Natalie (which was actually true) was a complete lie. I could tell that Sharon was really nervous because she started to talk really fast and wouldn’t look Matt in the eyes, pretty hysterical. Matt finally stopped blabbing about what type of “girl” he was or wasn’t into or whatever and moved on top of Sharon and they made out. LOL, awkward. What’s even funnier is that Josh came in the HOH room and cockblocked them soon after.

Although I thought Matt was pretty smooth trying to get Sharon wrapped around his finger, she isn’t that stupid. After Matt left the room, Sharon told Josh all about Matt making out with her and how he wanted her to put up James and Chelsea; she knew exactly what Matt was up to. It looks like Matt is the one who got played.

Big Brother 8 Rant #5, Rigged or not Rigged? That is the question.

Well if you are a live feed watcher like I am, you should know by now that the DR influenced Dustin and Amber to keep Eric this week. I understand that the DR has to asks questions about a player's thoughts towards events that have happened in the house and that is fine. It's when the DR asks questions that have the motive of changing a player's strategy, that the producers cross the line. From what I have observed, that is most likely what has happened this week. The producers want to keep Eric in the game because of the America's Player twist and made sure that Kail got voted out. I just feel that this is unfair to the other players and detrimental to the show's integrity. Obviously I will keep watching because I love Big Brother, but CBS pulling stunts like this really pisses me off.

Jessica has won HOH this week and Dick and Danielle are currently on the block. I really don't want either of them to go home this week (the show would lose a lot of its entertainment value without Dick), but we will just have to see what happens with the POV competition.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://eentertained.blogspot.com/2007/08/big-brother-rant-5-rigged-or-not-rigged.html' title='Big Brother 8 Rant #5, Rigged or not Rigged? Wow, it really looks like Eric is going home. Amber shared a very personal story of hers with Eric, and Eric told Dick that he could use this personal story to blackmail Amber (without telling Dick what the story was). Dick wanting Eric out this week, told Amber about Eric's "secret weapon" that he could eventually use against her and Amber flipped a shit. This morning Amber became a monster and screamed at Eric calling him out on trying to blackmail her with everyone watching. Amber: "You are a demon in disguise! You piece of shit!" It was brutal and probably the most shocking scene I have seen all season. Poor Eric, he is scrambling around trying to recapture some votes and is currently working Zach with little success. Oh well dude, if you didn't open your mouth all week long talking too much shit about people you wouldn't be in this position. CBS, looks like your AP twist came up short of what you wanted it to be.

Tony's BB likeablity ranking list (1 being my favorite contestant):

1. Jen: She has been on the block three times in a row and is playing a really smart game laying low and collecting information from all sides with ease.
2. Danielle: She has really surprised me in the last few weeks. She's actually really smart and quickly picks up on information circulating around the house. I hope Danielle and Jen hook up and form an alliance---they would be unstoppable.
3. Dustin: Yes, I still like Dustin. He has said some things in the past couple weeks that have put a frown on my face, but I still think he is one of the stronger players left in the house.
4. Eric: Smart guy who made some bad decisions. Hope you don't go home, but it looks grim.
5. Zach: One of the more tolerable people in the house. He has really opened up this last week and is showing more personality.
6. Dick: I have a love hate relationship with Dick. I like him because he makes the show fun to watch, but at the same time he has been a complete asshole to Jen, which I don't appreciate.
7. Jameka: I love watching her psychotic prayers, but other than that she is a complete bore.
8. Jessica: You are making me fall asleep. Say more than five words a day please.
9. Kail: You are a horrible player. Go back to your sheltered life in Oregon.
10. Amber: Ugh, although she was quite entertaining today, she is just not likeable at all. Stop crying and swearing on your daughter's life.

Big Brother 8 Rant #3

Alright, in recent Big Brother news a plane flew over the BB house during the HOH competition and a few of the houseguests saw it. It said Nick <3 Eric and Amber are liars. LNC = Nerd Herd. After Danielle won the HOH she started thinking of the banner and came to a conclusion that Eric must have been the stray vote the past two weeks. How she came to that conclusion is so far off it's hilarious, but she did correctly target the right person. Dani thought that Eric and Kail have been in an alliance since week one. She talked with her dad about how Eric was up in the hoh room with kail for many hours the first week scheming. She also believes that Eric set the LNC up to vote out Mike and Nick these past two weeks and that Eric voted for Kail to leave both weeks to make it look like Nick voted to evict Kail on the week Mike left and Danielle voted to evict Kail on the week Nick left. Oh boy, Dani, YOU ARE SO WRONG.

Dani decided to nominate Jen and Kail for eviction, with the intention of backdooring Eric. Jen won the POV (yay!) and Dick and Jen came to a truth....Now, Dick, Danielle and Jen are in an alliance. Wow.

All I have to say is that I am so happy my girl Jen is safe this week. Go girl! Even better , she is now in an alliance with Dick and Danielle, which could only benefit her.

Dick and Danielle decided to tell Jessica about their plan, which was such a bad move because Jessica went and told Eric what they were planning on doing. I am just waiting for the house to erupt tommorow after the veto ceremony. Everyone is gonna be super paranoid and pissed. It's gonna be fun.

If they decide to vote out Kail this week, who cannot play in the next 5 HOH competitions (a sacrifice she made during the veto competition) then they are all dumbasses. Eric is a much bigger threat than Kail will ever be.

Anyway that's it for now. I don't want eric to leave this week, but he has definitely dug a huge hole for himself.

Big Brother 8 Rant #2

OMFG OMFG OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!! Danielle just won HOH and it is pissing me off so much. Seriously! This whole season is going to go down the fucking drain if Jen leaves next week. Without Jen in the house the show is gonna be pretty boring to watch. I absolutely hate how everyone, with the exception of Jen, is so scared of Dick and not willing to stand up to him. I predict that Danielle will most likely put up Zach and Kail with the intention of backdooring Jen. This means that Jen absolutely has to win the veto competition this week or else she is getting the boot. This is really a sad day.

Dick is getting on my last nerve. He is really a smelly fart bitch. I mean honestly, stop treating Jen with such disrespect---it just makes you look bad. No wonder your daughter hates you, you are an embarassing douchebag.

Nick really should not have gone home this week, he's at least tolerable. Kail, on the otherhand, is a slimy dish rag who is extremely dull and lacking of personality. Seriously, go back home to Oregon and continue making an ass out of yourself with your ignorant comments about homosexuals.

Big Brother 8 Rant #1

Summer is here and Big Brother is well on its way. Tommorow is eviction night and it looks like Nick, the only houseguest from Minnesota, is getting the boot tommorow. Unfortunately, Nick is not one of my favorites this year. He's that jock in high school who gets pissed off easily for no good reason. The showmance he has going with Danielle is getting on my nerves because it's not cute in any way---not to mention the fact that Danielle is a whiney bitch. Nick is also a tactless and boring muscle head who doesn't know how to play the game. I really wish he was more entertaining, but he just sucks in every way. Man, the way he went up to Jen and told her to shut the fuck up like a thousand times when she made the 12 year old comment made me so mad.

Jen is one of my favorite houseguests this year. At first I thought she was just a dumb brunette who didn't know what the fuck she was doing, but she has grown on me considerably. I love the way she handles Dick when he is spewing shit out of his mouth about her. She just shrugs him off whenever he tries to get into her mind and it pisses him off so much. God! I love it! I don't know how she handles all of those horrid comments he makes about her, but it's quite amazing to watch. Jen is a gusty woman and I really hope she makes it to the final 3. OMG that comment she made about Dustin being a slimy turd in the diary room at the end of Tuesday's episode was classic. lol.

One of my other favorites this year is Eric, America's Player. There is no doubt in my mind that he is the smartest player in the house. Not only does he have to complete the tasks that America gives him (i.e voting to evict a houseguest America wants out of the house instead of his own choice) , but he also has to manipulate people in his alliance (LNC) so that he doesn't get caught going against their wishes . He has a lot on his shoulders as America's player and he is handling the added pressure extremely very well. If it wasn't for the whole AP thing Eric would most likely win this season, but since he has a disadvantage, he won't be able to play the game the way he wants to. We will see...If he wins this season, he will take Dr. Will's place as the best player in BB history.

In Honor of Those Who... An hour after having left the theatre, I was still awestruck by what I had just seen.

Don't listen to your friends and family who tell you, "This movie shouldn't have come out....It's still too early". Don't let the horrible trailer that does absolutely no justice to this movie turn you away. Don't let false assumptions about United 93 get to your mind.

This is the film to see this year.

United 93 is shot after shot of cinematic beauty. It is the exceptional direction of this film that gives its emotion packed sequences so much intensity and feeling and what ultimately makes this movie succeed. The tactful use of many close up shots not only gives viewers a very detailed and clear look at the contrasted expressions of fear and courage of those on United 93, but more importantly connects the viewer to these victims on a very personal level. Director Paul Greengrass (Bourne Supremacy) is a genius when it comes to handling the rhythmic pacing of shots. As the film progresses and the situation of 9/11 gets worse and worse the overall shot duration become shorter and shorter; this works out magnificently for the film. The pacing of United 93's shots directly parallels the increasingly tense feeling of the movie. The use of a handheld camera also works towards the film's advantage giving it an extremely disturbing yet almost perfect feeling of realism.

One cannot talk about United 93 without taking into account its beautiful score. Greengrass skillfully inserts music at exactly the right places influencing the way the audience feels towards the film at any given moment with monumental success. When Greengrass wants you to be tense, you will be tense. When he wants you to be sad (and at times on the verge of tears) you will be sad. Music is of great importance to United 93's fulfillment as an emotional rollercoaster.

There are no famous Hollywood stars in United 93. None. Nada. Unless you are a film critic you probably have not heard of any of the actors and actresses. And there is a good reason for that. It's a film about everyday people like you and me and the courageous actions they undertook. Hollywood's big names were intentionally left out of the film because it wanted to depict the events that happened aboard United 93 as realistically as possible. If Tom Hanks were to play one of the passengers aboard the plane, the realistic nature of the film would have been shot down and burned to ashes. Don't be fooled into thinking that the acting is bad in this movie though, because it certainly is not. In fact, it is completely the opposite.

United 93 is a beautiful film that captures the events of 9/11, and more specifically the situation on United 93, with such precision and realism that it makes me feel as if it were just yesterday when I saw the twin towers shattered to pieces. Greengrass has made something very special here and it honors the heroic victims of United 93 with unmeasurable dignity and grace.

Rating: A+

Late and Tired

I've seen a string of really good movies lately. I felt that the 1 paragraph format was not only lazy on my part, but was also not enough to cover everything about a movie to the extent I wanted to. Introducing the Three C's...

Movie: Election (1999)
Starring: Reese Witherspoon, Matthew Broderick, Chris Klein and Jessica Campbell.
Directed By: Alexander Payne

The establishment known as student government has always struck me as being completely useless. Student government elections, on the other hand, are actually quite fun to watch. Election is just that---a lot of fun to watch.

Election's plot is pretty simple; it follows the lives of a teacher and three students, and the impact that the Carver High student government election has on their lives. Our central characters include Tracy Flick the perfect student, Paul Metzler the popular football jock, Paul's lesbian sister Tammy, and the role model teacher Jim McAllister.

Why oh why didn't Reese win an Oscar for her performance as the narcissistic Tracy Flick in Election? It's not only better than her depiction of June Carter in Walk the Line, it's sheer brilliance. With that being said, Election is a character driven movie with a cast so fitting, it is to die for. So convincing are the performances in Election I can easily relate each one of the main characters to real people in my high school. I remember clearly the Tracy Flick of my class; the girl that didn't stop working until perfection was achieved. Rich characters and the great performances behind them are key to this film's success as a comedy.

Election will keep you chuckling from start to finish . One element of the film that helps bring emphasis to its satire is the great editing throughout. Use of still frames and overlapping shots where the humor is at its best adds a great deal to the film's overall comedic effect.

Not since American Beauty have I been so impressed by a movie's ability to capture the human psyche. I cannot recommend Election enough. This is a gem right here folks.

Rating: A+---98%

I'm literally torturing myself by not buying a copy of Kingdom Hearts II. My plan is to beat a rental copy of the game in five days so that I can save 45 dollars (its about a 50 hour game so I basically have to play it for 10 hours a day, which is no problem for me really).

Big On Bowling.

Daily 1 Paragraph Reviews: Movie: The Big Lebowski (1998)

Synopsis: The movie starts out with Jeff Lebowski aka The Dude getting beat up by two men who tell him that he owes Jackie Treehorn money. After beating The Dude up they pee on his rug. Turns out they got the wrong Jeff Lebowski. The Dude set out to find the other Jeff Lebowski and get a new rug from him... and so begins the journey of The Dude.

Review: Weird is a good thing. First of all, The Big Lebowski is anything but ordinary. If you are looking for a traditional comedy, be prepared to be shocked. Fortunately, the oddball humor works to the movies advantage making this comedy highly original and quite entertaining. Another plus is that the funny lines catches you by surprise creating a much welcomed unpredictability. I have many good things to say about this movie, but there is definitely something missing from it. The movie drag at times because it doesn't seem to know exactly how to make a smooth transition from one scene into the next. Although this problem is very minor, it is still noticable, disengaging the audience from the movie every now and then. Overall, The Big Lebowski is a lot of fun. If you like weird humor, definitely check The Dude & Crew out.

Pros:
+Creative Humor

Cons:
-Feels disjointed at times

Rating: [B]-----86%[Tasty!]

Boondock Saints ...mmmhmm!

Daily 1 Paragraph Reviews: Movies: The Boondock Saints (1999)

Synopsis: The Boondock Saints follows Connor and Murphy Mcmanus as they set out to kill the gangsters of Boston. An FBI agent (William Dafoe) investigates their crimes hoping to track them down.

The Boondock Saints is a great movie for those who love action with substance. There are plenty of sequences in this movie for those who just want to watch bullets fly but what makes this movie stand out from the typical "crime and investigation" plot are its themes deeply rooted in religion and morality. Great characterizations, especially by William Dafoe and Billy Connolly, bring a lot of depth to each of the characters as they carry out what they deem is the right thing to do. Good use of cinematography and special effects adds a great deal to the quick pace of the movie making it a lot of fun to watch. This is my first time seeing Forrest Gump. There I've said it. Why have I ignored this movie for the last 12 years? I have no friggen idea. And I regret not having seen it at an earlier time in my life because it is really quite an amazng experience. The film tells the life story of a man named Forrest. Although the premise of the story may seem banal, don't let that fool you because Forrest's life surely is not. What really drives this movie is Hank's amazing portrayal of Gump. Without it there would be no Forrest Gump and no one would care who Forrest Gump is. The movie blends the right amount of comedy with just enough drama to propel the plot foward. Life is certainly like a box of chocolates...I love Forrest, and you should too.

Pros
+Tom Hanks Shines.
+Funny and sad when it should be.
+Memorable Quotes
+Beautiful Score

Cons
-Maybe just a little too long.

Rating: A----95%

Oh! As the story progresses you continually fall more and more in love with each of the characters as they discover the little joys in life(with a little help from our tasty little friend, chocolate). I cannot help but think if you are in a bad mood, that this film would be just the right medicine to brighten up your day. Chocolat, the movie, is just as sweet as the real thing.

Pros:
+A Feel Good Movie
+Chemistry between characters
+Score, oh god yes, the score!
Cons:
-missing that "extra" something that would make it a superb movie

Rating: B+---89%

I'm in love with Sandra Oh and the television show Grey's Anatomy. Although House is still my favorite primetime hospital programming, Grey's Anatomy's personality and premise are enough to keep me interested. I must admit, the acting is a little shaky at times, especially from the main character Ellen Pompeo in the pilot, but it's getting better with every episode as the actors become more comfortable with their roles (except for Sandra, who has been absolutely amazing from the get go). ABC is finally getting it together. With Lost, The Desperate Housewives and now Grey's anatomy on the network, things are looking much brighter for ABC.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://eentertained.blogspot.com/2006/03/oh-oh-sandra-oh-ohi-almost-forgot.html' title='Oh! His acting in The English Patient, on the other hand didn't do much for me at all. Quite frankly, I wasn't impressed by any of the actors and with an hour left in the movie was anxiously waiting for this dull love story to be over. I honestly couldn't care less about what happened to any of the main characters and that's never a good sign. Winner of nine academy awards, I had high expectations for this movie and only one of those expecations were met: excellent cinematography. Breathtaking extreme long shots of the desert make this a beautiful movie to watch---too bad that alone can't save a movie from being a complete bore.

Rating: D+ --- 68%

On a better note I finished watching Schindler's List which was quite marvelous, and deserving of the best picture oscar.

I currently have disc 1 of Grey's Anatomy coming in the mail via my buddy netflix. I've heard only good things about this relatively new doctor show and couldn't be more excited.

Kingdom Hearts II is coming out in 10 days. Hoorah---hoorah! I can't wait to kick some more heartless ass.

Fullmetal Alchemist: the Movie concluded this epic Anime quite nicely. It wasn't the ending that I wanted, but it was good nevertheless.

I'm now a Kiera Knightley Fan

Daily 1 Paragraph Reviews: Pride and Prejudice
Two days ago I was unexpectedly pulled into a classic love story. Pride and Prejudice is one of those films that gets the formula for a romantic comedy down perfectly. The film succeeds because of two essential factors: the beautifully written screenplay and great performances by the entire cast, especially those of the main characters Kiera Knightley and Matthew Macfayden. Moreover, bright colors, great costume design and beautiful set architecture set up the tone and mise-en-scene of this story quite nicely, giving it a sense of realism. If you are a sucker for films centered around the theme of love or just want to see a good film in general, I highly recommend Pride and Prejudice.

Rating: A---93%

If you want to see a weird film, see The Secretary. It's a different kind of love story...

I'm convinced that Dr. House is the greatest character on television. He's my favorite smartass.

Currently I am watching Spielberg's Schindler's List. Yes, currently. It's damn long---over three hours long to be exact. But it's good...unlike that movie that wasted three hours of my time, Pearl Harbor.

blabla and more blabla and more blablabla

I now have a place where I can ramble on and on about movies.
